Objective:
Team Play: Be the first team to score 150 points.
The Set-Up:
~ Split into two to four equal teams. Each team chooses a team name and writes it in one of the squares on the scoreboard. Scores should be tallied after each round. Each team should select a team captain.
~ Designate one teammate as the card reader & rotate this player after each team’s turn. The opposing team should designate one teammate to shadow the reader so that he/she reads exactly what’s on the cards & does not read off answers.
~ Flip a coin to see who goes 1st “use a double headed coin if you have one” J.. The team that goes 1st must hold the “I went 1st Card”…….
How to Play:
(1) Start with the: “What’s Hott Card?”
Each Squad will try to unravel a set of 7 common expressions pertaining to the “What’s Hott Word”, which is found, within the “What’s That Slang” logo, at the top right corner of each card. Answers to the cards follow the ...... Readers may read the card more than once. Items must be read in numerical order and as is. Adding words or reading the answers results in opposing team receiving that point. The timer starts when the reader begins reading the first question.

(2) If & when a team ENTIRELY successfully completes the “What’s Hott Card”, They are allowed to answer the “Slang Bonus Card”. That team may choose, without looking at the contents of the card, to “PLAY” or “PASS” their bonus card. If the initial team plays & completes the bonus card, they earn “5” points. If they pass it to the opposing team & that team cannot complete the card the INITIAL team earns “7” points, but if the opposing team completes the card they earn “7” points. (Is it worth the gamble?!?)
Each Squad will be able to exhibit “Common Sense” and “Street Knowledge” to answer Slang synonyms. Teams MUST complete the ENTIRE card’s requirements to receive bonus points. Unlike “Hott Cards”, "Bonus Card" items may be read in ANY order & allowable hints are bolded in ( ).

Team Play:
~ Squads will alternate turns and players will alternate turns reading clues to their own teammates.
~ On your turn, take a “What’s Hott Card” from the box. Say the “Hottword”.
~ Start the Timer…and begin reading the clues in order from 1 to 7.
~ All teammates are allowed to say/yell their answers “out loud”.
~ If the entire team is stumped, you all may pass and move to the next hint, but MUST forfeit 2 points to the opposing team. Teams may not pass and/or error on more than 1 question for cards to be considered Complete and that team be eligible to answer the bonus card.
~ You May Not move to the next clue until you have either gotten a correct answer, or your teammates have said/agreed to “PASS”.
~ Teams May Not pass their last question to complete the Hott card and get to the Bonus card.
~ You must stop reading/answering when the Timer runs out (unless the other team is not paying attn). Your entire team should be quiet, because any answers given after time runs out will help the opposing team- who gets the chance to STEAL the (1) point for only the current question! They get one answer, to be given by the team captain.
The Opposing Squad:
~ While your opponent is playing, your team has four tasks: watch the (1) Scoring Card, (2) the card reader, and (3) the Timer (4) Be ready to steal the last point of the Hott card if the other team is stomped or runs out of time.
~ Watch the Timer and make a loud Annoying, “Sound!!!” when time runs out….
Scoring:
Each squad scores (1) point for each correct answer given while either playing or stealing using the What’s Hott Card. (5) points will be given for completed “Slang Bonus Cards” Opposing teams cannot steal points from Slang Bonus Cards unless the opposing team chooses to blindly pass the bonus card to them or fails to complete the card (see Bonus card rules). Keep track of points by making slashes on the Scoreboard. Teams may also receive (1) point for reader errors....
Winning:
If your squad is first to reach 150 points, after both teams have had equal numbers of turns, your team has Swag & you win! At that point, feel free to read the Square, Geek, Fly, & Lame score cards to the opposing team as you rub Victory in their faces!!!
